They are also used in the construction of fish ponds and for slope stabilization to protect against erosion. Small retention sluices
Small retention sluice gates play a very important role in regulating water flow in small watercourses. They allow water to be retained during periods of heavy rainfall, protecting farmland from flooding. The retained water can slowly seep into the soil, replenishing groundwater and improving soil moisture.
